Reception information

In our Reception classes we learn in a variety of ways.  We engage in whole class, teacher led groups and child initiated play based activities. Throughout the week there are opportunities for the children to participate in indoor and outdoor  activities.   We have a daily Little Wandle phonics lessons and Can Do Maths lessons. Throughout the week we teach all other areas of the Foundation curriculum. 

Our topics are engaging and we follow the  Cornerstones curriculum. 

The topics include: Myself and my Community, Sunshine and Sunflowers and Big Wide World. 

Throughout their time in Reception children develop a greater independence, self-confidence and enquiring minds.
