How to make an In-Year application

We would ask you to visit www.birmingham.gov.uk/schooladmissions and submit an online application from 1 October 2021 and by 15 January 2022 (the final closing date). We would strongly recommend that you ensure you read the ‘Primary School Admissions Criteria 2022 Information’ prior to submitting your application. In addition to this, most schools will hold virtual open sessions.

Cut off distance:

2020 2019 2018

1032 metres 1342 metres All applicants offered

There is no guarantee that the same admission pattern and ‘cut off’ distances will apply for 2022.

Children with an Education Health and Care Plan

Any child with an Education Health and Care Plan/statement of special educational needs is required to be admitted to the school that is named in the statement. This gives such children overall priority for admission to the named school. This is not an oversubscription criterion.

Oversubscription Criteria

1. Looked after or previously looked after children.

2. Siblings; brother or sister who will still be in attendance (not Nursery) in September 2022 at Lyndon Green Infant or Lyndon Green Junior School.

3. Distance (children who live nearest the school measured in a straight line).

Distances are calculated on the basis of a straight line measurement between the applicant’s home address and the main entrance of the school building.

Important

School Admissions and Fair Access Service make every effort to ensure that the information contained in the 'Primary Admissions Arrangements 2021' for each school is up to date and correct. However, for a copy of the school's full and most recent admissions policy and oversubscription criteria, please feel free to visit: Admissions Arrangements Community Schools

September 2022 Intake

We are holding open sessions for the September 2022 intake on 3rd and 9th November both at 5:30pm. Visits are by appointment only booked by contacting school on enquiry@lyndongi.bham.sch.uk . We will have to limit numbers to 20 adults per session (one adult per family) and priority will be given to those parents who are new to the school.

As we are limiting the number of visitors for the open sessions this year we will be producing a video for prospective parents.

Here is the link: https://youtu.be/NPoy1NWfDOE   (this was a video produced last year so dates are incorrect)
