Primary offer day: Information for parents

The information via the link  below was sent to all families who had applied for their child’s reception class place. It provides them with information about the arrangements for National Offer Day next Thursday 16th April 2020.

Letter from admissions

Normally I would be taking this opportunity to invite you into school for an induction meeting, however under the current Covid19 situation this year sadly this is not possible. We will however be keeping in touch with you as much as possible to inform you of the arrangements for your child starting school.

I know staff have already been in contact with you to gain information. Some of this will be used to put together our classes and identify which children will be part time in the morning or afternoon when we start school in September. We will also be trying to contact any Nursery or pre school setting that children have attended. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that any requests will be confirmed, particularly with most parents asking for part time places in the morning.

Useful information prior to your child starting school.

Reception children will now start part time on 10th September and full time from 24th September.

You will be informed by letter whether your child will attend mornings or afternoons for the first two weeks.

Please note that due to regular updates from the government  regarding the Covid 19 situation, we may have to introduce  staggered start and end times for classes in September. We will keep you up to date with any changes. Please see calendar on website for timings.

We will also be arranging a Stay and Play session on Monday 7th September for the children before they start school. You will be informed by letter as to the time to bring your child in to meet their teacher. Please see calendar on website for times.

We will also be contacting you w/c 6th July to arrange a telephone appointment with your child's teacher.

The dates for these consultations will be Friday 4th September or Tuesday 8th September.
