Intent
At Lyndon Green Infant School, we inspire our children as artists and instill both an appreciation and passion for art. We equip our children with the knowledge and skills they need to allow them to explore and create imaginative, innovative pieces of work, through a high quality, engaging and challenging curriculum. We strongly believe that art epitomizes some of the highest forms of human creativity, stimulates imagination and nurtures expression. We encourage children’s interest and understanding through a variety of experiences which will enable them to communicate with the world through the visual elements of art (colour, texture, line, shape, form and pattern). Our children are encouraged to value the process along with the product. At the foundation of this, we create a ‘safe’ environment where there are no ‘right' or ‘wrong’ creations, thus nurturing self-esteem, well being and a sheer love of art.
